NOW HIRING: CAREGIVER – BERKELEY, CA
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one care for an 18-year-old male client living in the UC Berkeley dorms.
Location: UC Berkeley Dorms – Berkeley, CA
Schedule:
- 7 days per week
- 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Caregiver 1)
- 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM (Caregiver 2)
About the Client:
- 18-year-old male with Muscular Dystrophy
- Wheelchair user
- Condition affects muscle strength throughout the body, including the arms and upper extremities
- Weighs approximately 170 lbs.
- Dependent on caregiver assistance for all activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, dressing, transfers, mobility, repositioning, and other personal care needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility
- Follow the client's care plan and ensure a safe environment
- Provide companionship while promoting the client's comfort, dignity, and independence
Qualifications:
✅ Physically able to safely assist with transfers and support a client weighing approximately 170 lbs.
✅ Comfortable providing hands-on personal and intimate care
✅ Previous caregiving experience preferred (experience with Muscular Dystrophy is a plus)
✅ Reliable, compassionate, and professional
