Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols for chemical handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain high standards of floor care through sweeping, mopping, and specialized floor cleaning techniques to ensure a pristine environment
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently to complete tasks swiftly while adhering to safety guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure rooms are fully prepared for guest check-in
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times
- Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment enhances effectiveness in this role
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality standards is advantageous
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals responsibly while maintaining a safe working environment
- Strong customer service skills to address guest inquiries or concerns professionally during interactions
