Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead and supervise construction projects from start to finish. This pivotal role involves managing on-site teams, coordinating schedules, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring safety compliance across all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
Duties
- Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide on-site activities.
- Oversee daily safety practices in compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards.
- Supervise the review of construction drawings and schematics to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services; oversee contracts and change orders as needed.
- Oversee budgeting aspects related to labor, materials, and equipment; assist in cost estimating and managing project expenses.
- Ensure compliance with heavy bid procedures, project scheduling standards, and construction management best practices throughout all phases of the project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising construction sites with a strong background in heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling techniques and project management principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards; experience implementing safety protocols on-site.
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing teams in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Construction site experience with a focus on quality control, schedule coordination, budgeting, and safety compliance.
- Certifications preferred: OSHA certification.
Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record
