Position Summary
The CNC and Manual Machine Operator is responsible for all job classifications within their department to process production parts. Machine Operators are responsible to set up the machines, operate equipment and run parts at the production standard while maintaining 5S and cleanliness of the work station.
Primary Duties
· Operate a minimum of five (5) job classifications within the designated area.
· Fill in as needed for production standards.
· Operate CNC Machines / Manual Lathes, Mills and Grinders.
· Check dimensions to ensure quality of parts.
· Read and understand simple blueprints.
· Ensure integrity of product and quality standards.
· Follow all production and safety procedures.
Experience and Education
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of one (1) year of operation of CNC or Manual machinery.
· General knowledge of standard measuring instruments.
· Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
· Ability to work to close tolerances and check part dimensions.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
· Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs occasionally.
· Requires prolonged periods of working on your feet and walking occasionally throughout the day.
