North Haven Tile Carpet One is a locally owned flooring showroom that's been helping homeowners and businesses find the right tile, carpet, and surfaces for their spaces. We're growing, and we're looking for a friendly, motivated Showroom Sales Representative to join our team and help our customers turn rooms into something they love.
If you enjoy working with people, have an eye for style, and like the satisfaction of seeing a project through from "just looking" to "I love it" — this could be a great fit. No flooring experience? No problem. If you've got the right attitude, we'll teach you the rest.
What you'll do
- Greet customers, learn what they're looking for, and guide them through our tile, carpet, and flooring options
- Share product knowledge, samples, and design suggestions that fit each customer's style, needs, and budget
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate with our installation and warehouse teams for accurate, on-time service
- Keep our showroom displays, product information, and pricing fresh and inviting
- Follow up with new and existing customers by phone and email
- Use our point-of-sale / CRM system to keep everything organized
- Contribute to sales goals through genuine, proactive customer engagement
What we're looking for
- A people-person with strong customer service and communication skills
- Genuine interest in flooring, tile, and interior design (or a willingness to learn it)
- Organized and detail-oriented — comfortable juggling quotes, orders, and follow-ups
- Reliable, professional, and a true team player
- Able to stand and move around the showroom for extended periods and help with light product handling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail, showroom, or home-improvement sales experience is a plus — but not required. We provide training.
