Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Retail Store Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while managing daily operations. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products, answering questions, and making informed purchasing decisions.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with precision and professionalism.
- Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store maintains an attractive and organized appearance.
- Manage inventory levels through stocking and merchandising activities; monitor stock levels and communicate shortages.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting remote customers.
- Support supervisory staff with training new team members or supervising daily store operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment adhering to health and safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems for sales transactions.
- Previous supervising experience in retail or grocery store settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in bilingual environments are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform retail math for cash handling, pricing, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product placement strategies.
- Experience in grocery store operations including stocking and inventory control.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Familiarity with retail sales processes, cashiering procedures, and customer engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining store presentation.
