We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The pay for this role $16.90 an hour plus tips. Our team averages between $20 and $25 an hour. We pride ourselves on our core values of quality, community, and consistency!
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash register integrity.
- Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Ability to prepare food items quickly while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- A passion for coffee and café culture is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in food service or café settings is a plus but not mandatory.
