The Sr Quality Engineer will develop and maintain systems and documentation that ensure our products and services meet all contractual and company quality requirements, are built in accordance with customer and division quality requirements while maintaining production flow, and provide direction and maintenance for the company's Quality Management System, in accordance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 current standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review engineering, manufacturing, testing, and customer documentation to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
· Support and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
· Lead quality initiatives involving customer concerns, supplier quality, nonconformance investigations (NCRs), corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
· Perform and support quality assurance activities, including First Article Inspections (FAI), qualification testing, failure analysis, and product evaluations.
· Develop, implement, and improve quality standards, inspection methods, testing procedures, and process controls.
· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
· Analyze quality and reliability data to identify trends and recommend process improvements that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
· Support calibration and measurement system programs to ensure the accuracy of production and test equipment.
· Develop quality training materials and provide guidance to employees on quality processes and best practices.
· Assist Quality leadership in maintaining compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field required.
· Minimum of 6 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or defense.
· Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Experience with process improvement tools, root cause analysis, and project management.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related software applications.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
· Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
SALARY
$89,020.85
Pay: From $89,020.85 per year
