Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various systems including HVAC/R, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities, contributing to overall productivity and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support regarding equipment functionality.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Utilize schematics to understand system layouts and facilitate repairs or upgrades.
- Operate scissor lifts safely while performing maintenance tasks at elevated heights.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide field service support as needed, responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on high voltage, low voltage, and electrical components.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their applications in industrial settings.
- Experience with welding techniques relevant to manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals in English.
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing problems effectively and efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Military experience is a plus but not required; candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
