Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable lead driver as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will possess a valid unrestricted drivers license, strong background in transporting and assembling items in a safe and timely manner. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. As the lead driver, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of dedicated local routes, overseeing other crew members, and experience with operating equipment.
Responsibilities
- Experience driving a NON CDL 26 foot box truck.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Operating equipment such as trucks, lift gates, pallet jacks, dollies, etc.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure all is complete and customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items
- Lift, carry, and load furniture weighing up to 100 pounds
- Deliver, including but not limited to assembling furniture, as required/requested within committed time frame
- Respond to inquiries and requests from clients, customers and community partners in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to protect and transport all furniture without damage through established best practices.

Requirements
- Must have a clean and unrestricted drivers license (no moving violations accidents within the past 5 years).
- Medical DOT Physical (Paid by company)
- Successfully pass background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process; This information is necessary to ensure compliance with our company and partners legal requirements (Must be able to enter government and military locations).
- Must be available to work 4-5 days a week, including evenings and weekends, if needed. MUST BE FLEXIBLE
