We are looking for a Field Foreman/Supervisor in the sheet metal or industrial fabrication industry for a well established general contractor in Orange county. For this position, candidates MUST be willing to work over time and be able to travel.
Travel Required in areas of service like Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, and surroundings.
Description:
- Supervise all welders and be able to perform the following duties.
- Plan details of work order procedures, assignments, and projects.
- Gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel processes, including fabrication, welding, installation, and repairs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications for accurate execution of projects.
- Must be able to lead and direct other employees as well as perform on the job by example
*Company vehicle may be provided upon approval and clearance of DMV.
Skills:
- Interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and drawings including weld symbols
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding techniques including designs, uses, maintenance, and repair
- Minimum (5) years in a similar industry as a lead, foreman or supervisor.
- Must be able to comprehend drawings and instructions.
- Current Valid Driver's License with clean record (no accidents, no points)
- AWS, or LA City Welding Certifications is a plus!
