Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Canvasser to join our dynamic outreach team! Duties
- Conduct door-to-door outreach campaigns to introduce our organization’s initiatives and gather support from community members
- Engage in outdoor canvassing activities across various neighborhoods and public spaces to maximize outreach efforts
- Communicate effectively with potential supporters, answering questions and providing clear information about our programs
- Utilize strong negotiation skills to encourage participation in fundraising or volunteer opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, including contact information and engagement outcomes
- Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and improve campaign effectiveness
- Assist in telemarketing efforts when needed to follow up with potential supporters or schedule appointments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in field sales, canvassing, or outdoor work is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse audiences
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective outreach to a broader community
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
- Customer service experience helps ensure positive interactions during outreach activities
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and fundraising techniques enhances campaign success
- Ability to work independently outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism
