American Traveler is seeking a dual modality CT/Rad Tech with at least 1 year of experience in both DX and CT imaging for a 13-week night shift contract at a freestanding emergency department.

Work setting is a freestanding ED with 12 beds offering diagnostic X-ray, CT, and ultrasound imaging services
-
Emergency patient population with common cases including MVCs, shortness of breath, falls, injuries, and DVTs
-
Average of 28 DX/CT scans and 10 ultrasound studies performed daily
-
Department is typically staffed with 2–3 technologists per shift, including 1 ultrasound tech and 2 dual DX/CT techs

EMR: Epic (experience required); imaging systems include Philips iSite/PACS, GE CT Scanner, Siemens S2000 ultrasound machine, and Shimadzu XR equipment
-
Schedule is 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — every weekend

On-call requirement of 3 12-hour shifts per month, with the technologist able to self-select 2 of those nights; call may cover two freestanding ED facilities

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays

Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT and diagnostic radiology (dual modality)

Current BLS and ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification required

Active state license required if applicable

Proficiency in both DX and CT imaging required for dual modality technologist role

Epic EMR experience required

Most recent experience must be within the last year

1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration

Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Performs diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging for emergency patients in a fast-paced freestanding ED environment

3-day departmental orientation provided

First-time travelers may be considered dependent on experience

Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Former employees of any AHSE facility who held a permanent position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible

RTO requires manager approval
