Position Summary
The Lead Carpenter is responsible for leading field execution of deck/porch construction projects while ensuring quality craftsmanship, jobsite efficiency, safety compliance, and an exceptional client experience. This role oversees daily onsite operations, solves field issues proactively, and ensures projects are completed on schedule and to company standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical carpentry skills with accountability, communication, and operational discipline.

Key Objectives
- Lead daily onsite construction activities from project start through completion
- Execute and oversee footer installation, deck and porch framing, decking, deck fascia, rails, trim, and punch work
- Read and interpret scopes of work and construction plans
- Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with quality standards
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or rework
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
- Track labor hours, project progress, material usage, and field updates
- Communicate project updates, delays, and change orders to Project Management

Qualifications
- 4+ years of carpentry or construction experience
- 1+ years in a leadership, foreman, or lead carpenter role preferred
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical jobsite duties
- Proficient with hand and power tools and experience operating saws, nail guns, levels
- Ability to perform accurate field measurements and material takeoffs
Preferred
- Trade school or apprenticeship experience
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
