Front Office Team Member
Behavioral Health and Human Services
Location: Derry, New Hampshire
Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Pay: $21 to $23 per hour, based on experience

The Opportunity
Greater Derry Community Health Services is looking for a dependable, organized and personable Front Office Team Member to join our Derry office.
This position supports both our community human services program and the behavioral health services we manage in partnership with a local primary care practice. As a member of our front office team, you will help patients, clients, providers and case managers get the information and assistance they need.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, clients and visitors and connect them with the appropriate person or service
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls and messages accurately
- Schedule and confirm behavioral health appointments
- Check patients and clients in for appointments
- Assist with forms, paperwork and general front office processes
- Collect and accurately record copayments
- Provide case managers and behavioral health providers with timely and accurate messages
- Communicate professionally with patients, clients, providers, staff and community partners
- Maintain accurate information and protect patient and client confidentiality
- Assist with general administrative and front office responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other front office employees to maintain reliable office coverage
What We Are Looking For
Required
- Strong telephone, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to record and communicate information accurately
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust priorities when needed
- Dependable attendance, punctuality and follow-through
- Good judgment regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Comfort learning scheduling, recordkeeping and general office systems
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small office team
- Availability to work until 6:00 p.m. on two consistent weekdays
Preferred
- Two or more years of office, customer service, patient support or client service experience
- Experience in a medical, behavioral health, human services, nonprofit or other client-facing office
- Experience with appointment scheduling, electronic recordkeeping or medical office systems
Related experience is preferred, but we are also interested in candidates with transferable skills who are reliable, communicate well and are prepared to learn.
Schedule
This is a 30-hour-per-week position scheduled Monday through Friday.
Greater Derry Community Health Services maintains consistent weekly schedules that balance dependable office coverage with employees’ scheduling needs. The person hired must be able to work until 6:00 p.m. on two consistent weekdays (Monday thru Thursday). The specific closing days and remaining weekly hours will be discussed during the hiring process and established as part of the employees’ regular schedule.
Occasional, advance-planned schedule adjustments may be needed to assist with coverage when another front office employee is out.
Compensation and Benefits
- $21 to $23 per hour, based on relevant experience
