About the Role
As a Mechanical and Electrical Design Drafter, you will bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and physical production by creating precise 2D and 3D documentation for complex industrial skids. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless manufacturing by translating technical specifications into high-fidelity fabrication drawings and comprehensive material lists.
Responsibilities-
Develop detailed mechanical layouts, including piping, structural frames, and equipment positioning using AutoCAD.
-
Draft comprehensive electrical schematics, power one-lines, and control panel configurations to support system assembly.
-
Transform engineering concepts into actionable fabrication-ready drawings and isometric views for shop floor technicians.
-
Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to streamline procurement and assembly processes.
-
Perform 3D modeling and system visualization to identify and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts prior to construction.
-
Maintain and update technical documentation, including as-built drawings, to ensure project accuracy throughout the lifecycle.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
-
2+ years of professional drafting experience specializing in industrial skid packages.
-
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for both mechanical and electrical applications.
-
Demonstrated ability to produce detailed fabrication documentation and complex BOMs.
