About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience practicing family law, strong litigation and client-management skills, and the ability to handle cases independently from intake through resolution. Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence restraining orders, and related proceedings.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, settlement agreements, trial briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct client consultations, case evaluations, and legal strategy meetings.
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and self-represented parties.
- Manage discovery, disclosures, evidence, exhibits, and trial preparation.
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and provide clear legal guidance in both English and Mandarin.
- Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure efficient case management.
- Maintain accurate case notes, deadlines, billing records, and client communications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of family law attorney experience required.
- Active license to practice law in California required.
- Mandarin fluency required; professional English communication required.
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures, litigation practice, and court rules.
- Experience handling custody, support, divorce, DVRO, and property division matters preferred.
- Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Experience with legal case management software preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary: $100,000 – $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
