Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration operations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC system installation projects, ensuring adherence to schematics, design specifications, and safety standards.
- Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs of HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and conduct equipment repairs or replacements as needed.
- Manage field service operations by scheduling technicians, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and maintain proper documentation for refrigerant handling and disposal.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their property maintenance needs and provide expert recommendations on HVAC system upgrades or replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, system performance data, and repair histories to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with knowledge of HVAC system design, installation, and repair processes.
- Proven service technician experience with expertise in HVAC/R systems troubleshooting and mechanical systems repair.
- Strong understanding of schematics, building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing, and refrigeration technology.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of diagnosing electrical faults accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and pumps.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints; experience with HVAC system installation projects from start to finish.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and client satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with <PERSON> driver requirements is preferred.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in electrical systems or building automation are advantageous.
- Mechanical systems repair experience combined with property maintenance background enhances your ability to manage diverse projects effectively.
