Red Hook High School in the Red Hook Central School District is seeking candidates for a full-time Teacher Aide-Special Education vacancy. This is a permanent probationary position with generous benefits.
Minimum qualification: graduation from high school or possession of high school equivalency diploma. Successful candidates will have the ability to establish good relationships with students, teachers, and co-workers; ability to communicate effectively; tact, courtesy, and dependability.
Additional duties: Assist special education students in both special and general education classrooms. Ability to work one-on-one with special education students, ability to work with both special and general education teachers and willingness to participate in special education training. Will need to deal with toileting needs on top of general safety and academic support.
