Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineer with Civil experience to join our architecture and construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, analyzing, and managing structural designs for a diverse range of residential construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all structures meet rigorous safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. The structural and civil engineering comes in from around the firm along with from external referrals.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive structural designs for various building types, including steel, concrete, masonry, and geotechnical systems, ensuring compliance with local building regulations and safety standards
- Perform detailed structural analysis using advanced analysis tools such as FEAs (Finite Element Analysis) and other structural analysis software to validate design integrity
- Create accurate drawings and models using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for project visualization and documentation
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients to develop system designs that meet project specifications and timelines
- Conduct building code analysis and review construction regulations to ensure all designs adhere to legal requirements and industry best practices
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation to support design decisions and facilitate clear communication with stakeholders
- Oversee project scheduling and assist in project management tasks to ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; a master's degree is preferred
- Proven experience in developing structural designs across multiple disciplines including steel structural design, concrete structural design, masonry systems, and geotechnical engineering practices
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis tools such as Mathcad or equivalent software for complex calculations
- Strong proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D; familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction experience related to system design, construction regulations, building code compliance, and construction site practices
- Experience working on projects involving building information modeling (BIM), GIS applications for civil engineering projects, and system design workflows
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of technical writing for reports, specifications, and project documentation is essential

Pay: $83,058.02 - $100,026.86 per year
