Position Core Profile: The Landscaping Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and working alongside a crew of technicians to complete landscape installation and maintenance projects to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This position plays a key leadership role in daily field operations, ensuring that jobs are completed on schedule and within scope while fostering a positive and productive team environment. The Crew Leader also serves as a frontline representative of the company in client interactions and supports continuous improvement in safety, service, and crew development.

Accountabilities
- Field Operations & Task Execution: Perform hands-on landscaping duties, including handling plants, soil, mulch, gravel, pavers, and other materials; Operate and maintain various equipment, such as riding mowers, walk-behind mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, edgers, and hedge trimmers; Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with job specifications and safety standards; Keep job sites clean, organized, and compliant with company standards
- Crew Leadership & Supervision: Provide daily direction, delegation, and oversight for landscape technicians; Conduct on-the-job training for new crew members and reinforce best practices; Lead by example to foster productivity, morale, and a strong work ethic; Monitor crew safety, conduct toolbox talks, and report any incidents or concerns
- Customer and Supervisor Communication: Interact professionally with clients on-site, addressing any concerns or updates; Communicate job status, progress, and crew performance to supervisors regularly; Represent the company's values and brand in every customer interaction
- Recordkeeping & Reporting: Accurately document daily labor hours and material usage; Ensure timesheets and job logs are submitted and verified promptly; Support documentation related to site audits, change orders, and material deliveries
- Safety & Compliance: Promote and enforce safe work practices, PPE usage, and equipment safety procedures; Identify and address potential hazards in the field; Participate in safety trainings and ensure team members are compliant with all safety protocols
