NOW HIRING ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying payment obligations to vendors. The role involves managing vendor relationships, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. In addition, as an employee of Apis Services, Inc, the Accounts Payable Specialist will function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization, Promote the well-being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Supervisor of Accounts Payable. Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and consumers of this organization, and be an advocate for all the policies and protocols of the organization.
Complete AP related tasks such as coding and entering invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements.
Section 3: Major Responsibilities
DIRECT DUTIES: -
Organize, code, and enter invoices into accounting system.
Reconcile vendor statements
Process ACH, check and wire payments
Prepare journal entries to record or reclass expenses
Verify/obtain proper approvals for invoices
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pull audit requests for consolidated, single and other audits as requested
Obtain and maintain W9 information for all vendors
Assist with ad hoc projects
Section 6: Job Qualifications and Competencies
Job Qualifications.
- Highschool diploma required
- Minimum 3 years’ AP processing experience preferably in a high volume, multi-company environment
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications including excel and word
- Experience working in an ERP system, Oracle, Net Suite
- Good understanding of accrual-based accounting/GAAP
- Non-profit experience a plus
