Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive curricula that incorporate current learning technology and innovative teaching methods.
- Deliver engaging online instruction and classroom lessons in various math disciplines, including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, differential equations, and discrete math.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with special education requirements or early childhood education needs.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, and project work; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Incorporate real-world applications such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology knowledge, or mechanical engineering concepts when relevant to enhance understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating new learning technologies or data structures into instruction.
Requirements
- Proven teaching experience with teenagers and children across various age groups; experience in higher education or adult education is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of math topics including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, differential equations, discrete math, and related STEM fields like electrical engineering or computer science.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and modern learning technology tools.
- Excellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills necessary for online instruction and digital resource management.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs or special education requirements is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology or other sciences can be beneficial for interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of varying backgrounds and levels of ability.
