Kitchen Manager – Hanna's on Main
Hanna's on Main is seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen. This is a working line position, and the successful candidate will be expected to actively work one or more stations during service while leading the team and maintaining our standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. (Grill experience required)
The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the Chef to execute service, train and develop staff, manage inventory and ordering, control food costs, ensure food safety compliance, and help foster a positive, accountable kitchen culture.
Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with the kitchen team during service
- Operate one or more stations while overseeing kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, and sanitation
- Lead, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
- Assist with scheduling, ordering, inventory, and food cost management
- Ensure recipes, portions, and procedures are followed consistently
- Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with ownership and the Chef on menu execution and kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong line cooking skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
- Ability to lead by example and hold team members accountable
- Dependable, organized, and solution-oriented
