Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Parts Salesman to join our automotive team. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying the correct automotive parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs and specifications
- Provide detailed product information, including compatibility, installation tips, and maintenance advice
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control and replenishment using inventory management systems (CMMS) and POS tools
- Process sales transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and retail math calculations
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, personalized recommendations, and follow-up communications
- Collaborate with the service department to support vehicle repair and maintenance projects with the right parts at the right time
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to troubleshoot issues and suggest appropriate solutions or upgrades
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor with well-stocked shelves and properly labeled parts for easy access
- Engage in marketing efforts to promote automotive products, special offers, and new arrivals to increase sales volume
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, vehicle systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Proven experience in retail sales within an automotive dealership or repair shop environment
- Strong negotiation skills to close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual capabilities preferred) to serve diverse clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), inventory management software (CMMS), POS systems, and basic cashiering functions
- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and understand vehicle maintenance procedures
- Organizational skills for stock stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory control management
- Customer service expertise with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes to assist customers with technical questions or concerns
- Effective phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or via digital communication platforms
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
