General Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for performing complex assembly procedures, rework, and repairs on oilfield manufactured equipment and products.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Assemble complex equipment and products under limited supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Perform all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED and 2-8 years of related experience
- Prior experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment is required. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical assembly is required.
- Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for own actions.
- Good verbal communications skills
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred.
- Ability to work for extended periods, includes standing, crouching, lifting, bending, etc.
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demand
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, twist, climb ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

Experience:
- Oil & gas: 2 years (Preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 2 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical Assembly: 2 years (Required)
