Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support clients with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders through tailored behavioral strategies.
- Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to effectively respond to behavioral emergencies or distress signals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, mental health professionals, and medical staff to coordinate comprehensive client care.
- Document progress notes, behavioral data, and treatment outcomes accurately within EMR/EHR platforms to support ongoing care planning.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with disabilities, especially those with neurodevelopmental disorders or autism spectrum disorders.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure using de-escalation techniques during behavioral crises or emergencies.
- Prior experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or neurodevelopmental conditions is highly valued.
