Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our Aviation Inspection team. The ideal candidate will perform precise inspections and quality assessments of components and assemblies using various non-destructive testing methods. This role is essential in ensuring products meet strict quality standards and adhere to industry codes, including ASME standards. The NDT Technician will also support quality control and assurance processes, utilizing mechanical knowledge, schematics, and data collection techniques to maintain high-quality manufacturing outputs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive testing procedures such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, and visual inspections on manufactured parts.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to identify critical inspection points.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and soldering equipment to assist in assembly and repair tasks as needed.
- Collect and analyze data from inspections to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during testing and inspection processes.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test reports, and quality documentation for traceability.
- Support quality control initiatives by identifying root causes of defects and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining calibration of testing equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve processes based on inspection findings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, or liquid penetrant testing.
- Strong understanding of surface mount technology, quality control, and quality assurance practices within manufacturing environments.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, and use of measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and soldering equipment.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and the ability to support manufacturing operations as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
