Overview
Cozy Bears Early Learning is seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our licensed home daycare team. In this role, you will lead engaging activities, support children’s growth and development, and help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills, and has prior experience working in childcare or preschool settings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead teachers with daily activities, including playtime, learning activities, meals, and naps.
- Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Help maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys, furniture, and play areas.
- Support children with individual needs, such as assisting with transitions or offering extra attention when needed.
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families.
- Communicate effectively with staff and families regarding daily updates or concerns.
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Support lesson planning and education
Health & Safety Requirements
The following requirements will need to be obtained:

- ☐ Safe Sleep Training
- ☐ Bloodborne Pathogens Initial Training
- ☐ Child Care Basics Training

Qualifications
- Experience working in childcare, preschool, or an early learning environment is required.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check per DCYF requirements.
