American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Acute care hospital radiology department with 2 dedicated X-Ray rooms (one inpatient, one outpatient) and 2 portable units, plus 2 additional outpatient rooms

Inpatient and outpatient imaging performed across all patient age groups

Department performs 200+ scans and studies per day across all modalities

Radiologist coverage is provided on-site Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM via a third-party radiology group

Charting system is Cerner
-
8-hour rotating shifts covering days, midnights, weekends, and holidays
-
Weekend and call rotation required with a 30-minute call response time

Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) experience

Current ARRT certification required, as applicable

Current BLS certification required

Acute care hospital experience required

License required if applicable

Must provide own radiation dosimetry badge — the facility does not supply one

Driver's License and copies of certifications required for consideration

2 references required for consideration (at least 1 supervisor reference; if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility)

Performs X-Ray imaging for both inpatient and outpatient populations of all ages

A supervisor is present for each area; no lead tech structure

IV placement is not required for this role

Light grey scrubs required

Orientation is customized based on the individual traveler's background

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted

Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to apply
-
Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for longer than one cumulative year without taking a 2-year break
