Overview
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position is ideal for those who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or health challenges.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide assistance with mobility and physical activities, including lifting clients when necessary.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and meal preparation to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and encouraging participation in daily activities.
Skills
- Certification in CPR is highly preferred.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health or behavior.
- Ability to work effectively with the elderly.
- Physical capability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring.
