Position Summary:
DOTCOM is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Laborer/Driver with a CDL Class A license to support our telecommunications construction operations. This position involves transporting materials and equipment to job sites, assisting construction crews, and maintaining DOTCOM’s high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including flatbeds, dump trucks, and equipment trailers
- Transport tools, materials, and heavy equipment to and from job sites
- Assist with setup and teardown of work zones, including traffic control and site preparation
- Support crews with underground or aerial construction tasks such as trenching, conduit installation, and material handling
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and equipment
- Ensure all DOT and company safety regulations are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate driver logs, load documentation, and delivery records
- Represent DOTCOM professionally with customers, inspectors, and the public
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license required
- 1+ year of commercial driving experience preferred (construction or utility work a plus)
- Clean driving record meeting DOTCOM and DOT standards
- Ability to safely operate trucks with trailers, backhoes, or other heavy equipment
- Experience assisting in underground or aerial telecom construction preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor environments year-round
