Position Summary
The Class A Local CDL Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods between designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent delivery schedules while providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class A CDL vehicle (automatic day cab)
Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance
Transport loads between New Castle, DE, Middletown, NY, and Essex, MD as assigned
Ensure proper loading, transport, and unloading of freight
Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and complete all required documentation accurately
Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and customers
Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies
Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition
Uphold professionalism and strong customer service standards
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Minimum of 3 years of Class A driving experience
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Valid DOT Medical Card
Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to changes in routes or schedules
Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Compensation
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Day shift, approximately 9 to 13 hours per day
