Job Summary: The Lahaina Warehouse Support position helps keep the daily operations of Maui Food Bank’s Lahaina warehouse running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This hands-on role supports the receiving, handling, storage, preparation, and distribution of food and other products while helping maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
This position requires someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of doing things safely and correctly. The Warehouse Support is expected to take ownership of assigned responsibilities, communicate when issues arise, work collaboratively with the team, and step in where needed to support a reliable operation and Maui Food Bank’s service to the community.
Working Days: M-TH, Weekends ( possibly including Fridays) & Federal Holidays off
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Perform daily warehouse duties including receiving, loading and unloading, stocking, product movement, and general
- Place products in appropriate storage locations and maintain proper organization and inventory rotation.
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory counts.
2. Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of the warehouse and surrounding work areas.
- Complete all assigned daily, weekly, and scheduled cleaning and sanitation responsibilities in accordance with the established cleaning list, including documenting completion as required.
- Maintain warehouse floors, racks, storage areas, equipment, and other workspaces in a sanitary, orderly, and safe condition throughout the workday.
- Address spills, trash, debris, trip hazards and other safety or cleanliness concerns promptly as they arise.
3. Inventory & Product Handling
- Receive incoming food and other products, including unloading, weighing, scanning, inspecting, and properly storing product.
- Handle food and other products safely and with care during receiving, storing, preparation, and distribution.
- Properly organize, rotate, and store products to maintain accurate inventory and minimize loss or damage.
- Maintain accurate inventory, receiving , delivery, pickup, and other required warehouse records.
- Monitor product condition and immediately communicate damaged, compromised, or questionable product.
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, storage, and product-handling procedures.
4. Equipment, Vehicles & Safety
- Safely operate motorized forklifts, electric pallet jacks, Maui Food Bank vehicles, power washers and other warehouse equipment as trained and authorized.
- Maintain clear aisles, loading areas, exits, and equipment pathways to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate observed trends, challenges, or operational concerns to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
- Participate in required trainings and maintain applicable certifications.
5. Accountability & Team Support
- Be dependable, punctual, and ready to work at the start of each scheduled shift.
- Accurately record all time worked and complete required documentation honestly and on time.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and complete required records and documentation.
- Be flexible with changing priorities, work collaboratively with team members and step in to support warehouse and organizational needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- GED or high school diploma preferred.
- Experience in a community-facing, service-oriented, or operational support role preferred.
- Previous warehouse, delivery, food distribution, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including forklift and food safety certifications.
Skills & Competencies

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative and remain productive throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products, inventory, and completing required documentation.

- Ability to communicate clearly and promptly with supervisors and team members when questions, delays, damages, safety concerns, or other issues arise.
- Works well independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.
- Basic computer and technology skills, including the ability to use email and inventory or warehouse systems.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Hawaii driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work full-time, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance appropriate to a community-facing role.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., food handler’s card).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during site activities or distributions.
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
