Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, supporting our operations and customer service commitments. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, sensors, and electronic controls on various equipment types.
- Fabricate parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and fabrication equipment to meet operational needs.
- Service and repair farm machinery, vehicle fleets (including tractor-trailers), and industrial equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, brake repairs, and assembly tasks to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding work status and recommendations.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair in a dealership or industrial setting.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding (including soldering) and metalworking.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams across various machinery types.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
