Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, and physical development aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among infants and toddlers.
- Engage with children through play-based activities, fostering their emotional well-being and developmental milestones in areas such as communication skills, behavior management, and motor skills.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of child welfare, safety, and cleanliness.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and facilitate smooth daily transitions.
- Document developmental progress through observations and assessments; prepare reports for parent-teacher conferences and coordinate with specialists when necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles with experience in toddler care and preschool settings.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies tailored for early learners.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education environments.
- Ability to implement Montessori or other educational philosophies that support holistic child development.
- Demonstrated skill in behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
