Armed Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Armed Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing armed security operations, ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. This role manages armed personnel, coordinates security activities, ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintains operational readiness through training, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Direct and oversee daily armed security operations across assigned locations.
- Develop and implement security procedures, post orders, and operational plans.
- Monitor operational effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and response capabilities.
- Conduct site inspections and security assessments.
Personnel Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate armed security officers and supervisors.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and oversee employee scheduling.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and safety.
- Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, licenses, and qualifications.
Security & Risk Management
- Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and security risks.
- Develop mitigation strategies and implement security measures.
- Lead responses to emergencies, incidents, and critical situations.
- Oversee incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and client representatives.
Compliance & Training
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain records related to licensing, certifications, and training.
- Develop and conduct training programs, drills, and readiness exercises.
- Ensure adherence to use-of-force policies and firearms safety standards.
Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding security operations.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss performance and security concerns.
- Prepare operational reports, metrics, and recommendations.
- Address client issues promptly and professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of law enforcement, military, or armed operations experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Act 120 Required
- Valid security licenses and armed certification as required by jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, threat assessment, and emergency response procedures.
- Proficiency with reporting systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications.
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
