Job Summary
Seeking an artist to assist in the design and physical finish of escape room props and sets. This is a part time position. Pay is hourly and based on experience.
About Us
We are an escape room fabrication company consisting of members who have constructed escape rooms for over a decade. We create custom props per the request of our clients, which are located up and down the east coast in the US and Canada. We're a small crew looking to expand to continue fabricating client deliverables within reasonable time frames.
Responsibilities
- Utilize 2D graphic design tools to create signs, graphics, and references for fabrication processes.
- Comprehension and execution of designs requested by clients and by the team.
- Apply paint via brush, roller, and air sprayer.
- Exercise proper care and maintenance of tools.
- Knowledge of wood finishing applications such as sanding, painting inlays, painting grooves, staining, and sealing.
- Sculpt via foam and other common, moldable materials.
- Work with the team to plan set designs using various set accessories (ex. considerations of foliage, sounds, wall designs, etc for a jungle room).
- Assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of client rooms.
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Schedule
- Part time hours. Schedule is flexible outside of on-site builds, and exact days will be discussed during interviews.
- Position will be year round, focusing more on upkeep and maintenance during the summer, and construction during the off-season.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
