Children’s Art Instructor
Fibo Kids Art Academy is hiring a dependable, creative Children’s Art Instructor for a consistent, year-round position at one of our Orange County studios.
Schedule
Applicants must be available for the complete schedule:
- Tuesday–Friday, 3:00–7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Approximately 24 hours per week
- Year-round availability required
Positions may be available in Brea, Cypress, Fountain Valley, or Tustin.
Pay
- Paid training: $20/hour
- Support Instructor: $23/hour
- Certified Art Instructor: $24/hour
- Long-term advancement opportunities up to $27/hour
Employees begin as Support Instructors. Advancement is based on training, performance, reliability, qualifications, longevity in the position, schedule requirements, position availability, and company needs.

Paid Training
All required training is paid.
Employees complete six training modules covering:
- Assisting
- Teaching Preschool through 12th Grade
- Studio support (class cleaning, organizing and prep)
- Studio Director responsibilities
Training includes paid online learning completed at home, in-person rehearsals with a trainer, and supervised practice with students.
Rehearsals are typically held Tuesdays and Fridays from 1:00–2:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Assist and teach students ages 4–18
- Demonstrate drawing, painting, and mixed-media techniques
- Teach Fibo’s curriculum clearly and accurately
- Manage classroom behavior
- Encourage and support students
- Prepare and organize materials
- Complete classroom setup and cleanup
- Follow Fibo’s teaching and studio systems
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and coworkers
- Apply feedback and coaching
- Arrive reliably and on time
Qualifications
A completed degree is not required.
Strong candidates may have education, professional experience, or demonstrated ability in:
- Studio art or fine art
- Illustration
- Animation
- Graphic design
- Art history
- Art education
- Education
- Other visual-art or teaching fields
Applicants must have strong art skills, communicate clearly, enjoy working with children, and be willing to follow a structured curriculum.

- Future art educators who are completing a bachelor’s degree, considering or applying to a teaching credential program, or preparing for a career as a school art teacher
Many instructors stay with Fibo for several years while completing their education and preparing for student teaching or full-time school positions. During that time, they gain hands-on classroom experience teaching art to students in Preschool–12th grade, develop behavior-management and communication skills, and build a strong professional work history.
