Line Cook - Tuesday - Saturday

Job Description Under direct supervision of our Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and General Manager, the Line Cook prepares food using recipes and portion control guidelines set by Evansville Country Club.
Essential Job Functions
- Know, understand, and follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications of menu items.
- Know, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, and standards set by ECC.
- Clean, sanitize, organize, and store all required items in work area as needed for each shift.
- Understand and know how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
- Ensure the kitchen operation meets food safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all opening duties are performed before the start of dining service.
- Ensure all closing duties are performed before leaving your scheduled shift.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Always maintain a clean uniform and appearance.
- Communicate effectively with service and kitchen staff.
- Perform all other assignments and responsibilities as directed.

- Adhere to meal and rest break periods and must clock in and out for all shift times.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to remember previously learned material such as specifics, criteria, techniques, principles, and procedures; ability to grasp and interpret the meaning of material.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Prefer at least two years of cooking experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
