Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently. This position requires the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting systems, electrical panels, and other electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and tools.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other trades as needed.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Travel to various job sites, which may include local and occasional out-of-town assignments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and blueprints.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoors, etc.).
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of energy-efficient and smart electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) updates.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification preferred but not required.
