Operations & Customer Experience Associate
Blackwell's Wines & Spirits has been a trusted destination for fine wine, premium spirits, and exceptional customer service for more than 22 years. Today, we're a respected independent retailer with two Bay Area locations and a thriving e-commerce business.
We're looking for a polished, dependable professional who enjoys meaningful work and takes pride in doing things right. This is not a typical retail position—it combines customer service, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory management, and daily operations in a small business where every team member makes a difference.
What You'll Do
A significant portion of your day will be spent carefully fulfilling and packing customer orders. Many of the wines and spirits we ship are valuable, collectible, or difficult to replace, so precision isn't optional—it's part of our commitment to every customer.
You'll also:
- Provide knowledgeable, attentive service to customers in our San Rafael store
- Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email
- Receive, organize, and stock inventory
- Maintain an organized, efficient retail and stockroom environment
- Create product POS materials and perform light administrative/computer work, including CRM updates
- Assist with merchandising and other operational projects as needed

Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail, hospitality, client service, or customer-facing experience
- Working knowledge of wine and spirits beyond the beginner level
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Ability to lift 40–50 pounds
- Must be at least 21 years old
