Foundry Caster – 1st & 2nd Shift

An expanding production facility in Cary, IL, is seeking dedicated Foundry Casters to support our growing team. We have immediate openings for both 1st and 2nd shifts, offering a path for motivated individuals to develop a specialized trade and establish a lasting career in the manufacturing sector.
While prior foundry background is not necessary, we are eager to train candidates who possess a strong work ethic and a history in industrial roles such as construction, warehouse operations, roofing, or mechanical assembly. Applicants must be prepared to thrive in a physically active work setting.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to the creation of precision components by managing various stages of the casting process, specifically:

Readying steel molds for the casting sequence

Utilizing torches to heat molds to the required temperature

Refining and sanitizing molten aluminum
-
Inserting subassemblies into the mold cavities
-
Facilitating the pour and overseeing the production cycle to ensure efficiency

Ensuring product quality by conducting regular inspections
-
Refining finished parts through cutting, cleaning, and grinding
-
Utilizing various hand tools and precision measurement instruments
-
Ensuring the workspace and machinery remain clean and operational
-
Contributing to team output targets by maintaining a focus on workplace safety
Staff members receive comprehensive cross-training across the facility, providing the chance to master different work centers and grow their professional capabilities.
Our Requirements-
Background in fields like manufacturing, production, construction, landscaping, military, or industrial labor is preferred

Capacity to perform duties in a high-temperature manufacturing setting

Ability to consistently lift loads of up to 50 pounds

Physical capability to stand, kneel, and bend for the duration of your shift

Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement techniques

Ability to interpret work orders and adhere to specific procedural instructions

Competency with standard hand tools including drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers

Foundational computer literacy for logging production data

Shift Schedule
1st Shift: Monday through Friday, typically from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional Saturday overtime. 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with overtime opportunities on Fridays as required.
Compensation and Benefits-
Hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $22.00
