Job Summary
Join Cheetah Trucking as a CDL-A Company Driver with a clear path to truck ownership. Drivers start as company drivers and have the opportunity to qualify for our Lease-to-Own program after 90 days of successful driving with $0 down. This role offers consistent miles, steady freight through our in-house brokerage, and modern equipment designed for driver comfort. Drivers who live in or near St. Louis, Missouri are ideal candidates, as we are able to provide parking and maintenance support at our yard. We also work to route drivers through St. Louis whenever possible for home resets, with the typical time out on the road averaging around 10 days depending on freight and driver preference. This opportunity is designed for drivers who want strong weekly earnings today and a realistic path to owning their own truck.
Duties
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer while transporting dry van freight across Midwest and Southeast lanes
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers
- Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations including hours-of-service requirements and safety standards
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and ready for operation
- Demonstrate consistent performance and reliability to qualify for the Lease-to-Own program after 90 days of successful company driving
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years
- No SAP program participation
- Ability to run regional and OTR freight across Midwest and Southeast lanes
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and professionalism
- Drivers who live in or near St. Louis, Missouri are strongly preferred due to access to company parking and maintenance support
Compensation & Driver Benefits
- Up to $0.65 CPM starting pay
- Average take-home earnings around $2,000 per week depending on miles
- $2,500 sign-on bonus for company drivers
- Sign-on bonus may be applied toward escrow requirements for the Lease-to-Own program
