DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise work activities of janitorial personnel in commercial and industrial establishments.

Leads, guides, and/or trains custodians in applicable procedures and techniques.

Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Must be available to work flexible shift hours including weekends.
-
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as needed including: Dust, Mops Floors, Vacuum Carpets, Cleans Restrooms and restocking paper and soap supplies, Empties trash receptacles, and bags trash for proper disposal when necessary.

May purchase janitorial supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.

Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.

Recommends personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.

Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
-
Inspect potential worksites and create proposals.
-
Must perform other duites as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of custodial practices, machinery, and related equipment.

Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma.
-
1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Must be bilingual.
-
Must have a valid driver's license.
-
Must pass a background check.
