Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Palm Bay, Florida (Hybrid)

Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Payroll, the Payroll Specialist will partner with various stakeholders to process timely payments for employees across the US, prepare journal entries, execute reconciliations, and support other key payroll and accounting activities.
The successful candidate has a background in multi-company payroll with multi-jurisdictional tax knowledge, is highly analytical, innovative, and experienced with data-driven processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Assist with maintaining, preparing, and processing biweekly and monthly payrolls to ensure timely and accurate employee payments (including salaries, garnishments, taxes, fundings, and deductions).
- Data Verification: Review the accuracy of data entered for new hires, terminations, and additional employee changes prior to finalizing the payroll.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and distribute payroll reports for review to appropriate departments while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Accounting Support: Prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts.
- Audit & Compliance: Assist with payroll audits by providing payroll records and documentation. Review, update, and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Time & Tax Management: Balance, verify, and research employee paid time off (PTO) accruals. Review and help resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll taxes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–3 years of dedicated payroll experience.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel skills (must be comfortable using or learning formulas).
- Attention to Detail: Strict and demonstrable attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and managers globally.
- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with the agility to balance strategic projects alongside day-to-day analysis and compensation support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with WorkForce Software (WFS).
- Experience working with SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
- Experience working with SAP ERP Systems.
- PCP or CPP Certification.
