We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you will design, update, and detail 3D CAD models and production drawings for Primus steam sterilizers, autoclaves, and ASME pressure vessels. You will work closely with the Engineering and R&D Manager, engineers, and shop floor technicians to support manufacturing, new product development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
● Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
● Design stainless steel sheet metal, structural frames, piping layouts, and weldments for sterilizers and pressure vessels.
● Apply ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code rules to vessel calculations and designs.
● Build and update complete Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system.
● Manage design files and drawing revisions using SolidWorks PDM Vault and the ECR/ECO process.
● Support shop floor welders and assemblers to answer technical questions and resolve assembly issues.
● Design simple jigs, assembly fixtures, and templates to improve shop floor efficiency.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
● 0 to 5 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment.
● Strong practical skills in 3D modeling with SolidWorks and 2D drafting with AutoCAD.
● Basic knowledge of stainless steel sheet metal design, weld symbols, and piping systems.
● Good written and spoken communication skills; ability to collaborate well with shop floor technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
● Familiarity with ASME Section VIII Division 1 pressure vessel design.
● Hands-on experience with SolidWorks PDM Vault.
● Basic understanding of linear actuators, electrical controls, or pneumatics.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
