What You'll Do:
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete DOT-required vehicle inspections and documentation
- Haul tanker freight safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and secure cargo according to customer requirements
- Protect freight throughout transport
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT records
- Communicate with dispatch using PeopleNet
- Obtain required customer paperwork and signatures
- Report maintenance concerns promptly
- Represent Puryear Tank Lines professionally with every customer interaction
- Attend required safety meetings and training
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements (Required)
- Active TWIC Card
- Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Safe driving record meeting company standards
- Ability to pass:
- DOT physical
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Criminal background check
- Pre-employment road test
- Physical abilities test
- Strong commitment to safety
- Professional attitude and customer-focused mindset
- Good communication skills
Truck Specifications:
- 2010 or newer tractor preferred
- Truck must pass inspection by the Puryear Tank Lines maintenance team before being placed into service
- Puryear Tank Lines will install all company lettering
- Equipment must meet all DOT compliance standards
