Overview:
The Grove Church is seeking dependable, caring Childcare Workers to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment while parents participate in church ministries and events.
Our childcare serves infants through 6th grade, divided into younger and older age groups. Team members may primarily work with a specific age group based on experience, strengths, and staffing needs.
This is a part-time position with regular weekday shifts and opportunities for additional hours at church events.
Duties:
- Safely supervise and engage children from infancy through 6th grade.
- Provide age-appropriate care, play, games, crafts, and activities.
- Comfort and care for younger children, including basic care needs as needed.
- Help create a positive drop-off and pickup experience for children and parents.
- Follow check-in, security, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents, coworkers, and the Childcare Coordinator.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and keeping childcare spaces organized.
- Take initiative and work as a team to create a fun, welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Childcare, babysitting, nannying, education, church, camp, or youth experience preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, patient, and comfortable working with children of various ages.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to successfully complete required background screening and child-safety training.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Comfortable working in a Christian church environment and supporting The Grove's mission and values.
Schedule: Tuesday mornings, Wednesday mornings, and Wednesday evenings, with occasional additional church events.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
