Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Superintendent to lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and safety compliance. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate all aspects of construction activities, manage subcontractors and vendors, and serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Your expertise in construction management and site supervision will drive project success while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, budget, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Manage on-site supervision of construction crews, providing guidance on tasks such as blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and quality control measures.
- Monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling tools; update timelines regularly to reflect progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Review contracts, change orders, and construction estimates; assist in budgeting and cost control efforts.
- Utilize construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Lead quality assurance processes by inspecting work for adherence to specifications and schematics; address any deficiencies promptly.
- Supervise subcontractors’ work performance; ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, safety incidents, equipment usage (including ohmmeters), and progress reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including project scheduling (Primavera P6), budgeting, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively on-site.
- Supervising experience managing diverse teams of tradespeople and subcontractors in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
- Ability to operate measurement tools such as ohmmeters for quality control inspections when necessary.
